About What I Read

Some of my favorite authors are Megan Whalen Turner, Libba Bray, Naomi Novik, Kristen Cashore, Nina LaCour, Patrick Ness, and Morgan Matson.

I love everything YA, especially anything fantasy and contemporary. I’m currently trying to expand my reading horizons, putting a massive focus on reading diverse books in 2017. I haven’t always been perfect, but my 2017 resolution is to read diversely, call out problematic books, and elevate the voices of those who know better than me.

About This Blog

I’ll post book reviews, writing samples, rants about my life, and anything in between here. The header image, as well as the logos for some of my tags/memes were created by me (if they match the header stylistically).

I didn’t mean to like the color orange, but my first theme forced me to use it, and I decided to embrace it when I went to make my custom header and logos.

    • If I’m not a high school student, then I’ve been showing up to the wrong school for the last the years 😉 That would be a drag.

  15. Love your blog so much!! Your reviews are on point, I have read some of the books you talk about and have had similar thoughts on them. I am publishing my first book in July 2016. A young-adult romance novel. A frivolous read lol. I created my wordpress recently to document the rest of my journey to publishing. I’d love to sent you my book for a review when it comes out :). Also do you have any tips for gaining followers? I’d love to get the word out about my book!
