Here is the rating system that I use in my reviews. Half stars are also awarded, to allow for a book having some qualities of the rating above it and some of the one below it.
1 — The book was so bad I can’t imagine I finished it.
2 — The book was seriously flawed but there was something that got me to finish it. I wouldn’t read later books in the series.
3 — The book was good. Not amazing, but good enough. I might read the next book in the series.
4 — The book was pretty awesome. There was something that held it back from being 5 stars, but I would definitely recommend it to someone. I would definitely read the next book in the series.
5 — The book was amazing and it blew my mind. I can’t recommend it enough, and I’d HAVE TO HAVE the next book!!
