Hey everyone! The TTT topic for today is Facts About Me, so I decided to combine it with the Versatile Blogger Award, since it is also fact-based. I’m awful at listing facts about myself, and it seemed like overkill to have two different posts for basically the same thing.
Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.
10 Bookish Facts About Me
- I’ve been reading YA books since late elementary school.
- I started out really into dystopian and paranormal books, but nowadays I rarely read those genres, sticking to contemporary and fantasy.
- I’ve met a few of my favorite authors, including Libba Bray, Brandon Sanderson, Naomi Novik, Amie Kaufman, Jay Kristoff. I turned red every time.
- I organize my bookshelves by order of how much I enjoyed each book/series, with some special shelves depending on the genre.
- I love how rainbow bookshelves look, but it stresses me out to think about books I didn’t like shelved next to books I loved.
- My mom is really awesome and she’ll read the YA books that I tell her to. Then we can fangirl together and it’s great.
- I can never decide if I like paperbacks or hardcovers more. Honestly, I love them both.
- I break the spine of basically every paperback I read, and I know that there are ways to prevent it, but I can’t get them to work.
- I never read hardcovers with the dust jacket on. It’s hard to hold and I’m afraid of wrinkling it.
- I LOVE rereading books, and I’ve read most of my favorite books at least two times (but probably more).
Thank you to Diana Prince Reviews for nominating me for the Versatile Blogger Award!

7 Non-Bookish Facts About Me
- I just got my drivers license.
- I really love working with Photoshop. Sometimes I edit photos, sometimes I follow other people’s tutorials, sometimes I just make random images, but I enjoy all of it.
- I enjoy basically every subject in school except science. Probably, that’s just because I’ve had pretty bad science teachers, but I also just don’t connect with the material the way that I do with math/English/history.
- I like most foods, except for red bell peppers, cucumbers, and anything spicy.
- I don’t have personal accounts for social media platforms. My bookish Twitter/Instagram is my only Twitter/Instagram.
- My cat is a giant ball of sass and insolence…but I love her for it.
- I miss my sister like crazy! She’s been at a college program for the last three weeks, and while I’m glad she’s having a fun time, I wish she was home!!!
I nominate:

- Ari @ The Daydreaming Bookworm
- Emma @ A World of Books
There it is! Sorry some of those facts are boring…it turns out I’m a boring person, apparently. Happy Tuesday!
Congrats on getting your driver’s license! Being able to drive solo opens up a whole new world of freedom.

Thanks! I still find driving more stressful than anything, but it is great to be able to get myself places without having to coordinate my schedule with my mom (so she can drive me)!

Thanks! I really believe it’s part of the reason that we’re so close. Other adults that dismiss my reading tastes really put up a wall between themselves and me, and it’s unspeakably frustrating.

I am the worst spine breaker on paperbacks. I don’t know hat I am doing wrong. Eventually I just stopped buying them because they all look like trash when I am done reading them.

Lol I just decided to embrace the broken spine look. I say that they are “well loved” and run with it. Same as you, I have no idea what I’m doing wrong…

I have embraced that on my older books. But now I just buy hardback. I like them better anyways.

Hardback books are really gorgeous 🙂 I can never decide which I like more, but in terms of beauty, hardcovers win hands down.

You’re welcome! And congrats on the new license 🙂 Also, you’ve met Libba Bray?! That’s incredible! I probably would have burst into tears. She’s spectacular in every way.

I met Libba Bray VERY briefly at the LA Festival of Books a few years ago. I turned SOOOO red and couldn’t really form sentences, but now I have signed copies of her books and it was worth it! I’d love to meet her for a longer time sometime in the future because she is a writing goddess!
Thanks again for the nomination!

You’ve shared some great facts about yourself – how lucky to meet some of your favorite authors! I’ve never thought to organize my bookshelf according to how well I liked the book – mine are in abc order, I guess that’s a little dull!

Thank you! I don’t remember when I decided to start organizing my bookshelves the way I do; it’s been a constant part of my life. Finding out that other people actually alphabetize their books (or organize it any other way) was kind of a shock for me when I joined the blogging community, but I’m mostly over it 😉

I would so, SO turn red if I meet Brandon Sanderson. I’m not big on meeting authors but I don’t think I can resist Brandon Sanderson, haha – I really admire his magic systems and how devoted he is to his craft. 😛
Congratulations on getting your drivers licence! I got mine aaaages ago but I haven’t driven in like 3 years, haha. I probably will need to re-learn it again since I was never that great at it.

Haha yeah I don’t love driving, but I have to do it where I live, so hopefully I’ll stop hating it soon!
Brandon Sanderson’s books are amazing 🙂
